Brian Callahan Sucks
Brian Callahan is extremely lucky he is the coach of the most forgotten team in the NFL. If he coached anywhere else the spotlight would be shining on his ineptitude. Because he’s on that team everyone always ignores, he gets no attention.
It feels like since the AJ Brown trade the Titans have made nothing but poor decisions. They might be one of, if not the worst run organization in the league for the past several seasons. Name a good decision they’ve made. Trading AJ Brown for peanuts was the kind of franchise altering bad trade that literally everybody saw was a mistake except the GM who made it. That idiot GM got in a power struggle with Mike Vrabel and lost. Vrabel then lost a power struggle with the new GM and ownership, and a good head coach was jettisoned for…this guy.
Was Brian Callahan on anyone’s radar prior to his hiring? He was the OC for the Bengals for the Super Bowl year, but I don’t remember anyone ever saying his name as a candidate. I’d never even heard his name before he got hired and I did the “who?” moment in real life. I called the Titans as the worst team in the league last year and I was spot on. They drafted Cam Ward, and looking at this team so far? He’s headed to bust town unless they fire everyone and start making good decisions. He’s never going to succeed in these conditions.
The offense sucks and has no talent on it. The defense sucks and has no talent on it. The coaching sucks too. What is Brian Callahan known for? Does he have a system? His system in Cincy was “Let Joe Burrow and Chase do neat things”. He’s the son of Bill Callahan, who is literally on his staff as offensive line coach, so hello nepotism. Is this guy worth keeping around? Do we need Brian Callahan, Head Coach? The Titans were awful last year. You get a mulligan with a new QB, and so far the results speak for themselves. Actually let’s let Cam Ward say it himself. They ass. Tits Ass. What’s more alarming is that the ass has been getting larger as the season goes on. They put up a watchable game in week 1 against the Broncos. Then the Rams beat them up. Then the Colts beat them up. Worst yet, the 1-3 Texans shut them out. The other winless franchises (Jets, Saints) have put up respectable performances and almost pulled off a few wins. The Titans have not. Their next 3 games are the Cardinals, Raiders, and Patriots. Those are winnable games. If the Titans go 0-7, there is no saving them. Callahan should not finish the season employed.
I see very few worlds where the Titans aren’t drafting #1 overall again if they can’t win a couple of the next few. All the other bottom feeders look like they can pull off a few wins. The Dolphins are finding a rhythm. The Jets took the Steelers and Bucs to the wire. The Saints have gotten close and even fought the Bills hard. The Panthers won a game. The Titans look worse than everyone.

Bill Callahan is a great OL coach and has been the best OL coach in the league since Dante Scarnecchia retired
Yeah Bill Callahan has been a solid Oline coach and mediocre head coach. If anything, Brian’s whole career is the benefit to him because of his father.
Wrong. The correct answer is Jeff Stoutland. Thank you for your time.
I feel like it hasn’t been talked about enough how horribly the Titans were missing on some of their recent first round picks for a stretch of time. None of the guys they picked from 2020-2022 are even still on the team at this point and that includes Isaiah Wilson, who played a grand total of 4 snaps (half of which were on special teams) before getting cut from the team. I feel like a string of futility like that would have been dogged on far more if it were any other team, but because it was Tennessee, no one cared at all.
Titans may go 0-17
They play the Chargers in November, there’s still time
Probably not.
No, Dave.
The Cardinals, Raiders and Patriots are not winnable games for this Titans team.
privledged
Irrespective of Mr. Callahan, I absolutely adore this manifesto.
It is a message that needs universal reach and a comic that is genuinely dynamite.
I love it whenever the “holy shit, a Titans comic” tag gets deployed. Makes me laugh every time.
Not to mention letting Henry go. They weren’t sure he’d be as good as he was before and that turned out to be a poor decision in the beginning.
I’ve been reading up some old posts from usenet in Google Groups and had seen some interesting takes from decades back, especially the ones that aged poorly. Do you think you could do some comics based from these?
Just learned that mocking nickname for Broncos is Doncos. Lame? Perhaps but still, lol.
Though people who used that are mostly Chiefs and Jets fans from what I got.
Also there’s a thread where some Giants fans were starting to give up hope that Strahan will break out in 1996.
Still trying to find the section that has the posts from late 1980s though.
Better coach than Jonathan fucking Gannon at least
