Whether you think he murdered someone or was innocent, was an annoying preacher man or a man of pure wisdom, was the best linebacker ever or overrated, it doesn’t matter. EVERYONE respected Ray Lewis on the field, how he played, and what he accomplished. And now, there is a solid chance this weekend will mark the final time we see him put on a uniform. 17 years. He’s been in football about as long as I’ve had any real understanding of it, and even if you hate the guy, the league is losing a legend.
It’ll be weird watching the Ravens without the man who essentially was the Ravens.

The two men (not Ray Lewis) who were actually tried for the double murder were found NOT GUILTY by way of self defense. Ray Lewis’s only crime was lying to the police.
