A couple of years ago I highlighted the trend of Thumb coaches in the NFL. This most recent wave of hirings made me notice something else. What’s with all the Mc’s?
Mike McCarthy
Josh McDaniels
Sean McVay
Sean McDermott
Ben McAdoo
Mike McDaniel
All of those names, save McAdoo, are head coaches. McAdoo is now an offensive coordinator and a former head coach himself. What is going on? Why is the league being taken over by Mc’s? It’s McAlarming. I am McSuspicious of the McLumminati right now. If the Texans weren’t cowards, we’d also have coach Josh McCown. Something is afoot.
Now McDaniel is McDave
Do we need to have him change his name to McShanahan now?
They’re all MCs of their own stories.

Reminds me of high school where we had about 8 teachers with “Sch” last names. I don’t even know if they were Jewish or what, it was south of Chicago so probably not
